The Medication Technician (Med Tech) in an assisted living facility is responsible for safely administering medications to residents while ensuring their health and well-being. Here are the essential skills for the role:
Medication Administration & Healthcare Skills
- Medication dispensing – Properly administering oral, topical, and injectable medications as directed.
- Dosage calculation & documentation – Ensuring accurate medication dosages and maintaining detailed records.
- Knowledge of pharmacology – Understanding common medications, side effects, and interactions.
- Observation & reporting – Monitoring residents for adverse reactions and changes in condition.
